Colin has followed Forge from the stands at Tim Hortons Field since the club's first Canadian Premier League season in 2019, and before that watched the city go years without a professional football club of its own.
Forge Fans started as a notebook of results and line-ups kept for friends who could not make it to games. It is now a site: every league result since 2019 rebuilt match by match, the table, the squad and short news pieces that explain what a story means for Forge rather than repeating a press release.
Nothing here comes from the club. When a number is on this site it has been checked against the match archive; when something is an opinion, it is written as one.
How the numbers are checked
Results, line-ups and events come from a match data feed and are stored in an archive that now holds 213 league matches across 8 seasons. Every time the site is rebuilt, the season's results are added up match by match and compared with the official league table; if a single win, draw or goal does not match, the site is not published until it does.
Short news pieces are rewritten from published reports with the facts kept intact and the source checked. They explain what a story means for Forge; they are not leaks, rumours or inside information.
What this site is not
- It is not the club. Unofficial fan site. Not affiliated with Forge FC or the Canadian Premier League.
- It does not sell tickets or merchandise and does not take money from anyone mentioned on it.
- It does not use the club crest or club photography. Team crests appear only small, as markers in tables.
