The club
Forge is one of the clubs the Canadian Premier League was built around when the league launched in 2019, giving Hamilton a professional football team of its own. The team plays at Tim Hortons Field in the east end of the city, which also hosted football at the 2015 Pan American Games.
Alongside the league the club enters the Canadian Championship, the national cup played against Major League Soccer sides and the lower tiers, with a place in the Concacaf Champions Cup for the winner.
