The club
Forge is one of the clubs the Canadian Premier League was built around when the league launched in 2019, giving Hamilton a professional football team of its own. The team plays at Hamilton Stadium, Tim Hortons Field until the end of 2024, in the east end of the city, which also hosted football at the 2015 Pan American Games.
Alongside the league the club enters the Canadian Championship, the national cup played against Major League Soccer sides and the lower tiers, with a place in the Concacaf Champions Cup for the winner. In 2026 Forge won it, beating CF Montréal on penalties in the final: the first Canadian Premier League club to lift the Voyageurs Cup.
